100% Uptime with multiple deployments a day
Client: GRESB
Challenge
GRESB, the global ESG benchmark for real assets, could not maintain its platform or deliver features reliably. The organization ran a single monolithic system supporting a single product. Infrastructure was fragile, development cycles lacked structure, and the growing demand from investors and asset managers worldwide was outpacing the team’s ability to respond.
Approach
Over four years, we led a team of 15 engineers through a complete transformation. We rebuilt the cloud infrastructure on AWS for resilience, evolved the monolithic system into a distributed architecture, embedded security practices into the SDLC, and matured development cycles with CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and structured release coordination. Incident management and change control processes replaced reactive firefighting.
Outcome
100% uptime over four consecutive years. The platform grew from a single product on a single system to a distributed architecture supporting eight new products. The team went from struggling to keep the lights on to shipping features reliably through a full delivery pipeline. Security and quality became built-in properties of every release, not afterthoughts.
